In making her repetitive circular forms painted with singular sweeping brush strokes Maureen Clay builds densely colored spaces, with an organic and generative quality each layer pushes into the foreground. From a background composed of dark blues and blacks, comes vivid tomato red o's, hot pinks and whites. The result is luminious, each form singular yet seemingly interlaced, and full of energy.
