Edwin Zalenski works in a variety of media including drawing, wood, ceramics, hooked rugs, and other textiles to express his enthusiasm for jet-planes, trains, and urban architecture. His depictions of iconic Bay Area structures like Coit Tower, the Transamerica Pyramid, and the Golden Gate Bridge become a study in form and pattern. Zalenski’s geometric architecture gives way to irregular, organic lines in uncluttered compositions.
