Carol Hiltunen works in a variety of media ranging from weaving to watercolors to explore her interest with flowers and other natural phenomena. Using bold stripes and color blocking, her attention to line quality and color is evident in her pillows and other textiles. In her black and white work, Hiltunen focuses on repetitive, gestural dots and parallel lines, resulting in a kaleidoscope of floral imagery and abstract symbols that reveals new details with every glance.
